How do I keep my Berkshire Blankets fluffy?

Hi Everyone- I bought the set of two Berkshire throws at the beginning of the year. We LOVE them. However, they don't look like they did when I first got them. I've followed the instructions for washing, but they seem to have lost their fluffy. Can I revive them? What am I doing wrong? TIASmiley Happy

I hope you get some responses! Are you using fabric softener on them? I think we're supposed to wash them without it.

It could be just age, I know after awhile fleece robes start to flatten a little bit. I dry my fleece blankets on air or almost on cool down on the lowest heat. I would try drying them halfway, then taking them out and shaking really good and putting them back in. My blankets are the flat fleece so I haven't had your problem, but good luck. I love fleece.

I think I remember the guest saying not to put them in the dryer; let them air dry. Did you put yours in the dryer? I didn't know this and I put my first set in the dryer with dryer sheets and after a while it wasn't soft at all but rather rough. I just purchased another set and will try the air dry method. Good Luck!

You should air dry them on the dryer air dry cycle. That's what's usually recommended to fl#f them up. Funny I wasn't allowed to use the shorter version of fluffy.

I always use low heat in the dryer just for a short time and NO FABRIC SOFTNER. I haven't had any issues mine are perfect.

I wasn't allowed to use that word, either, cyn! So I had to say that they lost their "fluffy", which I find very funny.{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Peri-I think I did this, but I will maybe try again. See if I can get them fluffy again.

It is funny! I tried to think of any way it could be offensive and even asked my husband if it was some vulgar slang I never heard of, ha, ha. If it is, it's pretty obscure.

Same here. I just did my Bershire throws (separately) the other day and they came out like new.
