It would make me crazy for my clocks to be set at the wrong time! How does setting it ahead help, when you know that you have that extra time?

My clocks are set " on time" as close as possible. I would probably get confused as to what the time really is if I didn't.

My clocks are all set to the correct time otherwise I feel like I'm having to "do the math" a bazillion times a day!

I also set my clocks to the correct time. What's the point of setting them ahead? You know they're not right? That would drive me nuts, having to adjust in my mind for the clocks being wrong.
I'm an adult; I can get myself where I need to be on time, without playing games with the clocks in my house. And how's that work for anyone visiting? ![]()

Exactly on time.

Before I retired I had my clock radio set 10 minutes ahead. It helped to know I had a little cushion of time in case something came up before I left for work. Now it is set on the correct time.

For me, the whole point of clocks is so I know what time it is. All of my clocks - my phone, my car, everywhere - match exactly and have the correct time. If I need to get somewhere thru bad traffic or if I'm worried about getting out of the house on time in the morning or whatever, I adjust myself acccordingly and allow extra time.
It would drive me crazy if my clocks were set to a time that was incorrect.

The car and bedroom clocks are five minutes ahead. It wasn't a choice, kinda happened on it's own. Once I realized it, I just left them. All other clocks are exact.

I was just wondering about that too. If I'm visiting someone's home, I assume that the time on their clock is correct. Why would I not?
But the OP said no one else in her house knows the actual time, so apparently she's okay with being the only one who knows. I guess it works for her, but it sure wouldn't work for me.

I set my clocks on the dot correct. However, I have this habit while getting ready for work and preparing my breakfast and lunch I set the alarm on my phone and then keep snoozing it. It rings after every ten minutes and keeps ringing till I finally leave home.
