Do you have houseplants?

My mom always had houseplants in the front living room and in the family room that looked into our backyard. When I got my first apartment she gave me my first houseplant. I’ve used them in my decor ever since. I love the green touches of live plants in a room. I have plants in my front living room and my sunroom.

Here’s 2 photos.

I don't have a green thumb but it never stops me from trying

When I worked, there was a plant on every desk

Once a week a service would come in to pull off dead leaves, etc & water.

If a plant was past its prime, they would just pull it up & replace it.

The pulled up plant would go in the trash, where I would rescue it.

I haven't worked in years & those plants are doing very well.

I would love to have some "real" plants just as I would like to have a dog--LOL!  BUT we travel a lot and who takes care of them when we're gone???  I may get some silk plants but right now, not a high priority.

I love houseplants & the calming effect they give me!  My dear sweet mama recently passed away and she had this African Violet for over 25 years.  When I brought it home, there were no blooms.  As you can see it is doing beautifully!  Every time I look at it, a spiritual moment for sure.

I have zero ability to keep any houseplant alive. It is a risk to yours that I now have looked at the photos of your healthy, thriving plants. Just my glance could set them on the path to failure!  So sorry! I looked away quickly, hoping not to seal their fate. They looked so strong and vividly green.

Green like my envy of anyone who can keep indoor plants alive! Lucky you!

I have only one left and it is pampered with a LED grow bulb on a timer each night and rotated daily.  I need to get a life 😂. Darn thing needs to outlive me so DD can be driven crazy.

@BornToShop Loved reading your post and the picture takes me back to happier days. My mother grew African violets and filled every window sill with them but best of all she shared them with everyone.

I only have a couple of plants. The first one is called Angel Wing. I started this from a clipping from my husbands grandmother’s plant. The plant is over a hundred years old. I don’t know if Angel Wing is the official name. And the other plant is an Orchid that has bloomed four times.701B1C92-62A6-4E97-A0A1-36E8EA82B194.jpegA48E426D-7D76-48F1-BFB9-005EB1667B40.jpeg3C937884-E206-4B3C-AD73-03485D292674.jpeg

How lovely! My mom had African violets too. After several years of trying myself, I finally stopped buying them. I could never get mine healthy or blooming,
