So today was a SV day for Home Reflections candles and I just cannot bring myself to buy these.  They do look fake to me.  I am a Luminara fan and once you have those, there is no going back.  Yes luminara is more $$ but they do last forever and they are the most realistic in my opinion.  It seems the Q is promoting Home Reflections much more these days. Wish they would bring back more Luminara selections.  Who is with me?

@Hoping for the best  - I'm with you. Q offers bundles and pricing that are not offered at other stores. No reason why we can't have options of different vendors and price points for the same category/item.

I think the quality is lacking for the Home Reflections candles. That's why I didn't purchase it

I ordered cause I wanted the silver metallic, but then after seeing it presented a few times I decided they just weren't worth the price ,  the flame is so fake looking .   After luminara as stated it's hard to purcahse others.  I cancelled.

There are many reasons you can't "have options of different vendors and price points for the same category or item":

1. If QVC or other retailers have their own brand of a product (as in Home Reflections) they make much higher margins on those items than outside vendors.

2. Luminara have always been expensive and have gotten even more expensive if you look at their website.  Not that they're not beautiful, but price matters with this customer.

3. Luminara are available on their site, Amazon and other places.  QVC makes most of its money on vertical retail, not outside vendors.  They brought them in originally to test the category and most likely see how high the price point could be.  They then developed their own line and phased Luminara out.

@TheMemphisVette

Oh thank you for that information about Luminara

Their site has a wonderful collection of candles and candleholders.

Their Halloween ones are great.  I love the black tealights.  Their Harvest candles are realy fine/

Agree very fake looking. Nothing compares to Luminara those imagineers knew what they wanted and were doing.

We're discussing opinions and requests. Yes, we can have and are given the opportunity here to request options of different vendors and price points for the same category/item.

You do not know the specifics of Q's profit margins or revenue sources with the exception of what's provided in their financial reports. Why would Q offer a variety of home goods, clothing, jewelry etc that is offered by their proprietary brands as well national brands? Because not everyone wants to buy 'knockoffs' lower quality options regardless of the price points. Same goes for Costco, Target, Walmart etc. They sell proprietary items right next to national brands. Choice is a good thing.

It will be interesting to see the reviews for these TSV candles. The wonky wicks that were on display close up was enough for me to walk away. What's the value or impact to the bottom line of high return rates and unhappy customers?

I really dislike the wick - so phony and cheap.
