So, I've been showing a great deal of restraint over the past few days, because there is currently an event here in Little Rock called, "Holiday House." It's at the convention center, and there are 180 vendors. It's like Xmas exploded. I think I'm going to go today, as it's the last day, but I'm pretty sure I should leave my wallet at home. If I ever figure out how to post pics on here, I will do so. Pray for me, people. This is going to be like an alcoholic going to Oktoberfest.

Peter, remember that you already have enough Christmas decor and knick-knacks and they are lovely. Another new "thing" isn't necessary, and where will find the room to store it.

Before I buy anything new for any holidays I make myself figure out where I am going to use it. That usually discourages spending.

If you're anything like me, you tend to forget about what you had from last year. That happened with my Fall deco this year. I try not to spend too much on seasonal décor. I don't plan on buying any Christmas decorations this year, I will put the money towards gifts.

It was a disappointment. Only about 5% of it was decor. The rest was like a flea market. I saw nothing new.

A blessing in disguise. Thanks for the update.

So sorry Peter! I understand your Christmas weakness, I have it too.

Last year it was the big, red, wooden arched lantern.

This year it's the elusive big silver sleigh.

It never ends . . .

I'm sorry you were disappointed, but I'm sure your wallet is happy. I went to a big show like that once in Long Beach and it was mostly primitive decor, definitely not worth the trip for me as that's not my style.

At least I know what it's like now. This is an annual event in Little Rock that is sponsored by the Junior League of Little Rock, so at least the ten bucks that I paid to get in went to a good cause. I've lived here for almost ten years, so it was about time for me to check it out.
