Re: Hint of Mediterranean Dining Room

[ Edited ]

Other than the too big plant, I don't mind most of these elements. Neither do I feel strongly positively about them. The space seems bland, almost as though this was staged but never finished. I don't like the valence, the tile on the steps or the art.

It's a cute little space.

I would put a pretty, huge area rug under the table, get rid of the plant, put a table runner on the table, change the chandelier and change the window valance.  I guess that about changes it all Smiley Happy

Re: Hint of Mediterranean Dining Room

I don't mind a mediterranean look and feel but I'd have to throw everything out, except the chandelier, and start over.  First thing I'd do is paint the walls and change out the flooring.  It's just too stark.

It's ok, but kind of plain, needs some color!

I went back and took another look. Think it really would look better if the floors were a closer tone to the wooden beams on the ceiling.

I agree. A darker floor would really add warmth to the space.
