I would have to change whatever that is behind the fireplace, get nice comfy furniture in place of the horrible furniture currently in the room, switch out the art work and I would keep the rest.....so I would redecorate the room except for the basics.
The only thing I like is the shelving and the ladder but I think the ladder is too short. Even standing on the top rung, I don't know who would be able to reach the top shelf.
