Re: High Contrast Spaces: Yay or Nay?

I prefer rooms to be softly colored. I also like a room to be the background , not the focus, when people are gathered there.

@lolakimono

This is fun!

I really like the first new room you posted with the pink couch.  I would change the pictures and would like a glass and crome coffee table instead of the trunk.  But I do like the trunk also.   I really love the couch - would like to have it for me.

The room with the red chairs needs a little more white for me and maybe the chairs in a print of some kind, although I do like them.

The last room with the black and green chairs - love this color scheme, but my preferrence is for a softer room.

Good examples!

Forgot to mention the next to the last room with the rose sofa and black walls - like that one alot also

Re: High Contrast Spaces: Yay or Nay?

I like these contrast spaces. In our great room two walls are painted balmoral red (it’s actually a deep burgundy) and other walls painted in cottonwood. Furniture along cottonwood walls are burgundy and burgundy print. I was never a pastel paint girl.

Sometimes the strength within you is not a big fiery flame for all to see. It is just a tiny spark that whispers ever so softly "You Got This - Keep Going"

Not always.

Depends on the colors and style used.

Wow, I like your choices for this, @lolakimono.  I find these particular high-contrast rooms to be very striking and memorable.

I would thoroughly enjoy visiting those spaces.  For my own personal living, however, I tend to go lower-contrast, most times.  Let's see, I'll make this analogy--  I enjoy high-drama people, but my own personality tends to be very low-drama, to the point of somnolence, ha.
