Help with this decision before I spend..... (Vacuum Choice)

I am seriously looking at the Dyson that will be offered in a few days. At this point it is the top of the line. I called Dyson customer service to check them out. So I know they are more than helpful and all service would be free for the first 5 years... either they will pay for mailing or I can dash down to a not so local Sears store and get it repaired. So check off service..

However it really really really is a very expensive item. IS IT WORTH IT. I do have two hairy long haired chihuahuas. I have loads of dust. (live in the woods).

I know I will never need a bag or filter.. so that is a plus. Those things do add up. That would bring the cost down over time... hopefully.

Anyone have one.... are you happy... or do you think another lesser expensive ANYTHING ELSE would work as well?????
