Help with 'blinds' please !!

I purchased a house and I will be meeting with the window treatment man in the morning. I've chosen to put blinds in the house..my question is ''Should I put blinds in the garage also?''  The attached garage opens to the side and protrudes out more than the rest of the house.  Will it look strange if I put blinds everywhere else  and just leave no 'treatment' on the 2 garage windows at all?   Seems like I recall in years past that the house should look the same across the front of the house.  What to do !?!  Thanks friends !

I bought inexpensive blinds from Home Depot for the garage windows. It looked fine with the blinds in the house. I wanted continuity across the front of my house.

@sarahpanda   I would put something on those windows for security reasons.  You don't want people to be able to see enticing tools and other paraphernalia you store in your garage.  If cost is an issue, I might consider a dark window tint.

Yes, please do.  I would do as @Couns1 suggested and put less expensive blinds in the garage.  Thank you.

Re: Help with 'blinds' please !!

I bought a box of those paper shades at Lowe's. They are like 30$ for 6 shades. I cut them to fit my windows and it's peel and stick to upper inner frame to hold them in place. You can use the clips to adjust the bottom length but I just cut it off to fit the window. I love them and also put them on the windows of my third floor because thats a grandkids playroom and out workout room.  The ones in the garage lasted about 3 years but at 30$ a box it's a cheap replacement and I didn't care if they got messed up.  Worked for me!

Re: Help with 'blinds' please !!

@sarahpanda ........We paid a lot of money for the interior blinds, however, the decorator we worked with suggested a roller style for our many large garage windows (3 cars+).  They did the trick for us.  She said many people opt for the roller shades in their garages.

My advice, just use a similar color as the rest of the house so it's a complete 'look'. Cat Happy

Living in the desert I had double tinting put on the windows in my garage . I also had it done thru out my house . It has worked very well . Many homes in my area also have done this . We do live in a gated community and that helps also for security . There were verticals there when I bought the house  . In my house I have white shutters . The tint and the shutters help with the heat .

I put blinds in the garage that matched the house.

what I meant was that the Venetian Blinds I have on the windows in the house I also put in the garage.  I like them and it keeps y.our stuff in the garage private.
