Headboard with adjustable bed

I am looking at headboards on wayfair. Can someone tell me can you attach a headboard to a sleep number or adjustable bed. I am assuming you could if you buy the brackets from them. I would probably buy the modular base from sleepnumber or where ever I get the bed.

Re: Headboard with adjustable bed

I know you can put a headboard on a sleep number.  You can also buy brackets to attach a headboard to an adjustable bed.  If you own a headboard, footboard and rails already, you can also put the adjustable bed inside of that and use what you have.

Hope that helps!

Thank you. Does anyone know what kind of retutn policy wayfair has if something doesn't work. I can imagine something like a headboard would be very expensive to send back. In the future I may be getting some kind of adjustable bed. Just not sure what kind. I am disabled so I need to know if you can put a sturdy bed rail on a adjustable bed. Not that I will roll out but it helps me when I get out by putting my weight on it.

@ccassaday  I can't really help you with your other questions.  I did want to show you something I ordered for someone that needs help getting out of her bed.  I got it at Amazon.  Look up "bariatric step stool with hand rail".

I got an adjustable bed over the summer and love it. I have a sleigh bed and the adjustable base fits within the original frame. I did not have to remove either the headboard or footboard. When I was looking for a new bed I asked both Sleep Number and Temperpedic and they all said it is not a problem with your existing frame since ithe adjustable base just sits within the frame.

@mima   Yes I concur - our tempurpedic fits right inside the frame.  Nothing gets in the way of our's adjustabilities.  We have rought iron head/ftbrds sort of sleigh-like. Bed works fine.

Re: Headboard with adjustable bed

I find it odd, since I've been considering an adjustable bed, that many people in the mattress/bed areas of the stores I have visited, are rather vague about whether or not the base and it's functionality will be accommodated by my 'regular' head board, foot board and side rails. I have a standard queen size, and was considering that or maybe just a twin. For the twin, they seem to think I would need longer rails as the adjustable twins (which seem to be rare?) are an XL kind of a thing.

I really need to get moving with an adjustable bed choice, but have been dragging my feet.

I would agree about the adjustable twin beds being extra long. I don't think you would be  able to find rails and a headboard unless you custom make them. I would keep the queen so you can use your current rails and headboard. As long as it's empty in the middle with no slats you would be able to use what you have.
