StElmoQn: I wasn't going to say anything but then you said these weren't your pictures so Ii figured, what the heck, you won't be insulted.

Unless I'm mistaken (but I don't think so) the top picture contains a glass pumpkin resting on top of a few books and that pumpkin was one of a set of three pumpkins that was a Valerie TSV in 2006. I know the year because I bought them to decorate my dining room table for a baby shower I was giving my DD in Oct. of 2006. It turned out that even though they were presented by Valerie with a candle in them, some people were saying theirs exploded when they put candles in theirs and subsequently there was a major recall. QVC sent me a letter saying they didn't want them back but they did want me to sign a form attesting to the fact that I was aware of the danger and would destroy the pumpkins. They went on to say that only when they received the signed form back would they delete the charge from my account and not long after, they refunded my money.

I wonder if this blogger knows the history behind these pumpkins as I see there's a candle in hers. Could be she bought them at a garage sale or something, thinking they were cute (which they were) but is completely unaware of the problem. I did link to her blog to get a closer look and sure enough, they certainly do look like the ones that QVC sold.

I wish these were my photos, but alas they are not{#emotions_dlg.sad}...however a girl can dream can't she???

These came from this website: http://friendshiplifeandstyle.blogspot.com/2012/11/inside-its-autumn.html

Love fall and love fall decorating. The living room table scape is definitely my cup of tea. The bakers rack itself is absolutely gorgeous, but with all that decor on it, it looks more like a store display to me than a home. I guess I'm a less is more style decorator.

Gee, you see a thread like this and realize how few posters actually READ the OP's and subsequent posts. Guess they're just into looking at pictures.

Sometimes less is more......the gal doing the blog (not the OP) and showing these pictures needs to remember that! This is more cluttered than a store would be. Can't really appreciate any of the items because they're just piled on top of each other. Overkill...way, way overkill.

I like the clutter as long as it's a defined grouping. And this one is, works for me.

To just look at the photos, the overabundance of stuff is fine, but not realistic in terms of actually living in those rooms. Like seeing a beautiful holiday dining room table filled with tons of decor. Looks great, until you think of folks sitting down to actually eat. And we don't put any bows of food on the table, just trying to use your fork and goblet is almost impossible. I've learned over the years of entertaining and decorating that less is more !

MORE THAN I WOULD USE IN ONE PLACE.......I WOULD NOT HAVE USED THAT BIG A WREATH ON THAT PRETTY COFFEE TABLE. USE THE WREATH ON A DINING TABLE AND JUST USE THAT CRACKLED GLASS HURRICANE ON THE TABLE WITH A SMALLER CANDLE RING.
