Hey @jubilant good to see you. I'm not much into open concept but as spaces go, this is a nice one, though I'd choose different furnishings, lighting and accessories for sure.

Hate open concept-everytime I see it I think of contractors who saved money by not building walls yet charging more because people like it and think its trendy.

The lights wrapped around the beam is totally atrocious (also trendy right now)! I do like the ceiling treatment and the wood on the island is an interesting cool idea!

But everyone likes different things!

I like it too and I like the lights around the beams, like the colors andeven the fireplace--hate walls the cut off space --pretty sure it costs way more to add walls----

I like this space..I would only change the pendant lights and the area rug. Two easy changes that would make it perfect for me.

I like it except for the lights around the beam and the island lights.  I would also like more upper cabinets.

Aside from the rug under the table, I love it!!  Love the lighting above the table.
