On the phone today a QVC Rep said that QVC doesn't do Halloween because it wasn't profitable and that there were too many returns. I've got a shiver in my spine that thinks this may be true for many items (Easter, Valentine's Day, Christmas, etc...). We've heard of the Grinch that stole Christmas, but that was subterfuge....he lives at QVC and stole Halloween.
If it were not popular, I highly doubt that the delighted cackles at HSN, Grandin Road (Martha Stewart), Michaels Crafts, among many others would be as heavily involved in Halloween as they are.
People want Halloween. I can't believe the constant amount of high dollar bids for Halloween items on Ebay year 'round. Many indicators are that people are willing to spend more for Halloween related items than for Christmas items.
Sad to say that the creaking and slithering sound you hear is coming from the QVC Directors scuttling away from the popularity of Halloween.
I do hope they wake up and hear the howls and screams.
Hope your Halloween is fraught with delight.
