I really like the homey-ness of Chauncey Boothby's design for this Maine house, and love the colors in living room-- neutral walls, blush curtains, dashes of blue and white.

It's a combo of simplicity, quaintness, and a throwback feeling in some rooms, almost like you'd get in a sturdy seaside shanty.

It's very old school,  and very "Maine",  with its antique wicker touches...

...and all the other antiques as well.

Like the rest of the house, the kitchen has a casual, well-lived-in air---

Not sure, but I think this is a little white-painted den off the kitchen--

Love the lantern-lamp, and small seascapes--

This has the feeling of an under-the-eaves, attic bedroom.

Again, charming old touches, in slim cabinet and Windsor rocker--

Another bedroom, this one much more snug, but cozy.

You can almost feel the fresh salt spray!

Prouts Neck really caught my eye, with its seaside locale.  Turns out, it was the home of famed American painter Winslow Homer,  who converted a carriage house into an art studio here.

One of Homer's tumultuous works,  "The Northeaster"--

@Oznell I'm amazed at how very much I love this house, inclduing the lights in the kitchen! I ADORE the large map. Not wild about the dark wicker chair but could live with it and LOVE those blush colored curtains!

@Oznell Oh yes. I'll take it! Well, anyhow, I'll settle for this hutch. Please include the plates. And the bead board, oh, and maybe the ocean if it'll be nearby. I already have this lamp.

I cannot find anything about this house that I don't like and it looks so much like something I would do.  I love, love, love it.  I would be right at home in this home.  It really has my look. I like how the house is mostly neutral but he has used the peach color in some way throughout the house, showing his love for that color (blush) which looks peach to me, but anyway I love it. I have the same exact lights in my kitchen except mine are "silver" color.   My kitchen albeit bigger, looks a lot like this one except mine is a little bit more junky as I have lots of spices, utensils in sight.

I really like your ( and their) pendant lights, @Nonametoday .   In their case, they further the 'marine' feeling in the house, but subtly.  That's so appealing about this house-- it does evoke its location and the sea, in many ways, but they are authentic.  Like the old sea captains' houses in New England were...

This house is cozy and inviting for sure.

I am not a colored drape/window covering person so I don't know if I could live with the coral drapes year round.....maybe just Spring and Summer.

The rest of the house is very appealing to me.

I think my favorite room is the Attic Bedroom.

The home has a coziness to it but there's not much here that I, personally, would want for my own home.
