Does anyone remember the shows with Matt and Sherrie? I also liked Decorating on a Dime and Kitty's show.

I always liked Matt and Sherrie. They both had good personalities and were fun to watch.

I wasn't a fan of Decorating on a Dime. As far as I'm concerned a $1000 redo isn't a dime.

There was another show that was good. It had an English man, Michael ?, who would help couples come to a compromise on decorating a room. Can't remember his last name or the name of the show. Brain cramp. lol

I loved Matt and Sherrie as well, he has the cutest grin.

MathisFan, I think you are thinking of Decorating for the Se...x....es - Michael Payne. I loved him, too.

I miss all the decorating shows...Candace, Sabrina, Genevieve, Tanya, David, Antonio, Meg, Sarah, etc. I really miss Kitty Bartholomew. Always loved her show.

My favorite was Lynette Jennings. I heard she retired and was living in Western Colorado.

I so agree I loved all of the older shows.The ones they have on now don't even interest me.But my all time favorite was Curb Appeal not the one they have on now but the older show where they do the outside of your home and if money was no object they show you what it could look like. I am gad that I recorded the ones that I liked so I watch them time to time.And there was a makeover kitchen show that I watched all of the time can't remember the name of it though.Got lots of ideas from these shows.

The weird thing is they have many good shows on their Canadian version of HGTV, but they rarely transfer them down here. Sarah Richardson has a new series up there called "Real Potential" that should be good. I believe we're still one or two houses behind on her "Sarah's House" series.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who is disappointed with the current version of HGTV. I used to love watching it!

They recycled some of the shows on DIY for a while but don't even do that anymore.

That's it! Couldn't remember his name or the name of the show to save my life. Thanks minkbunny!

ITA!!!

the things i loved about Sarah and Candance is you actually learned something watching them. they did not just say put in this and that but would tell you WHY they did or did not. they went through the thought process of selecting everything!!

btw - sarah 101 is on HGTV right now! only 4 episodes (from 2012!!!) scheduled but i will take it!

i have seen them all but i never get tired of watching her because of how she designs and we don't see her shows that often now!{#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

I'm still waiting for them to have some actual "garden" shows on the air. I watch House Hunters sometimes, but I usually have to hide things so I don't throw them at the tv.
