ITA, also. I can't stand to look at the brothers, something about them seem off, can't believe they will have 3 shows. Love it or list it homes always have major issues with the homeowners home that it's like a broken record. I miss Carol Duval and al, of the craft, or decorating shows.

I used to love the real estate shows like Real Estate Intervention and one from Canada called Sell Me or something like that where they showed houses that the owners wanted to sell but rarely wanted to redo anything. Sometimes it took months or longer, the timespan would show summer weather, then snow, etc. I sometimes watch the old shows on Hulu.

I miss Carol Duval as well, she had a very pleasant personality. I also miss the real gardening shows.

I really don't watch HGTV anymore. I actually logged onto their website the other day and submitted a comment about their programming. I'd love for Candace O to decorate my home! Loved her! I also enjoyed watching Carol D and Kitty B. Seems like each time I turn it on, they have some type of real estate show on. They all seem the same to me--just different locations.

I liked it better when the shows were more educational. One of my favorite shows was Gardening by the Yard. You can find more about what he's doing here:

I think it's sad that the networks feel that traditional gardening and decorating shows aren't getting enough ratings.

Totally agree with everything posted, with so many feeling that way (I am sure we are not the only ones) wonder why we see the same concept shows over and over and over ? They had me so paranoid with their always finding a crisis when they redid a home that I was on pins and needles when we had to have the roof replaced on our 1898 cabin due to hail damage - (hadn't replaced the roof since we bought the farm in 1995 and we had no idea what was under the roofing). They found NOTHING that was a problem, one small place where I squirrel had chewed on the corner of a piece of the plywood. which they were replacing anyway.

Yet, every home these shows do have an asbestos crisis, lead paint crisis, plumbing crisis, roofing crisis, electrical crisis, support beam crisis, water leak crisis, etc. etc. etc.

my edit.

IMHO, if Love It or List It is getting "good ratings" by their standards, it's possibly because it's on so much. Every Monday, all day long, and then many times throughout the week. I certainly have other channels to watch, it's just that this was a channel I used to enjoy.

I don't know why HGTV feels the need to run 15 episodes of a show in succession .... can't they at least alternate the shows?

I never saw an arts and crafts show on HGTV so I can't comment.

I know that Love It or List It and Property Brothers are filmed in Canada, so I'm always trying to figure out what city they are in ... no luck, though.

I think you're thinking of "Buy Me" & I enjoyed that one, too.
