HELP! Looking For Some Type of Lighting

That apparently you put behind furniture and when turned on lights up the room. Our single guy neighbor next door saw an ad for them and has never seen it again. He thinks I do nothing in my life but shop (he is pretty much right) and has put pressure on me to find them. If anyone knows what I am talking about or where they can be purchased I would really appreciate it!!!!
