Your post made me cry...I mean really cry. You have been such an incredibly kind person to me on these forums. I have appreciated your compassion, your caring and your thoughtful posts. So see...it works both ways. On the most dreariest of days...you have put bright spots into mine. So on this day...I hope you are having the best birthday ever. I hope all your birthday wishes come true and you are surrounded by your dear family and wonderful husband. Have a piece of birthday cake for me and I send a big birthday hug to you, my dear friend. Your words in your post touched me more than you will ever know. Thank you for doing my heart good. Happy birthday sweet lady and may you have many more to come.

Bobby K, you are such a dear person. I am always warmed and touched by your kindness. I know that your husband must feel especially blessed to have you. I continue to pray for your health.

Twinny2 - It doesn't look like things are warming up for you. We're getting another cold snap with icy rain in the next couple of days. I guess the South will be all over the news again.

And to everyone else, Thank you, thank you. I feel so blessed to have lived as long as I have and to have my family close.

I'm having a few health problems for now (the old ticker) but I hope to be a regular again soon with some Cracker Barrel ideas for spring.

Everyone stay safe and warm if you are in this brutal cold weather, and for those who are not, let's all pray for everyone who is.

Happy Birthday Retired 08! I hope it was wonderful! I have had the pleasure of "talking" to you and know you to be a lovely person! I didn't realize you are from Savannah - one of my favorite places in the world! I've been there a few times with my husband - we love River St. (is it St.? or Rd.?)

I'm not sure how old you are but we may be close in age - I too am retired and we moved recently since my darling husband's stroke and now I am near my son and his family and my precious granddaughter!

I'm happy that someone remembered to post your birthday! Mine is February 20 - I usually announce it - LOL! I'll be 65 and in shock - how can that be?
