I'm looking to buy a hand vacuum for the house for small things like crumbs, threads, etc..  I went online and found so many of them and have no idea which one to order.  If any of you can give me a recommendation I would appreciate it.  I don't need an expensive, fancy one since it is not being used like an everyday vacuum.  Thanks in advance for your help.

I purchased the Dirt Devil Scorpion a few weeks ago in photo below except mine has a motorized brush that can be removed.  QVC carries the one in the photo and the cordless model, but not with the brush.

It has excellent suction for a small handheld.

I SWEAR by our B&D DUSTBUSTERS.  We always have one charging on each floor of the house and use them throughout the day EVERY DAY.   The two we have currently are the 16v lithium.  They have excellent suction and are easy to clean.  We wipe down or wash the filters when necessary.  Mostly we just empty.

I bought a small handheld Dyson with a cord and love it. It's great for dog hair and small clean ups.  I don't have a place to store one that needs charging.

I also recommend the Black + Decker 16V Lithium Hand Vac.  I've had it several years and never a problem.  Bought it at Target.

@Lindsays Grandma    I purchased the Shark Rocket a few years ago.  What a great vacuum.  Suction is outstanding.  You can take the long extension off and use as a hand vac or keep it on for baseboards or corners of the ceiling.  It also has a regular part to vacuum rugs and floors.   I know Target has it or check directly with Shark.  Oh, it is super lightweight. Shark, I am sure also has just a hand vac if that is all you need.

@Lindsays Grandma  Here is a picture of the Shark Rocket.  The top part is the hand vacuum as the pole detaches and so does the floor vacuum part.  $149.99 at Target and Shark.  Also Shark has a hand held for $89.99.  I like this one because you can clean tops of blinds or curtains, baseboards, floors in my kitchen.

I bought this one.

It is a dust buster and then it comes with a handle and an attachment so you can use it like an upright vacuum.

I rarely take out of Shark Lift Away anymore.  I love this thing so much.

I have the Shark hand-held vac and it's heavy. I use it to vacuum the carpet close to the walls of various rooms. Sounds like she needs a small, light-weight, hand-held vac.

@Foxxee ...I appreciated every response to my request about hand vacuums.  Today, after looking at many of them at Walmart, I chose the Dirt Devil Scorpion with a cord.  Can't wait to get it. Woman Very Happy
