@NiteStar.Yes, I think they would work for that.  In the show, Valerie showed them used in the tree and they looked great.

@mousiegirl  If you have some long wood floral picks you can extend the stems on these branches.  If not just add floral or any kind of wire as long as it's strong enough to hold up the branch and tape it to the stems.  I'm so used to either shortening or lengthening floral stems that I didn't pay attention to that.  I use floral tape but masking or other would work, I think.
