I am leaning strongly toward Jill's finials in gold, and no more. I am first going to do some internet searching and see what I can find that might be similar. I could probably find similar ones at HL but I would never find more than one or two at the nearest store (I've never found a large quantity of glass pieces) and I only visit HL maybe once or twice a year.
I have checked HL before too and unless you're there when everything is 40% off you can't buy three finials at one time with the coupon. I just took my chances here. I looked again this morning at Valerie's gold ones and they look like 14kt jewelry. Now, if that would be what shade they are I'd get them too. But when you see them in different views they look a totally different shade of gold. I figure Valerie's and Jill's came from the same chinese manufacturer, don't you think. Why can't someone come up with an acceptable shade of gold? I love to use gold but sick of the horrible orangey gold items. Post back when you decide what you're going to do.

@lucymo wrote:Ok, I bit the bullet and ordered the set of five finials in the gold. I hope they look as good as Jill said. If they come in all orangey gold, I'll call Jill ask her to pay return shipping charges. Bahahaha.
Did you also get Valerie's finials, lucy, or are Jill's still your favorite? I'm playing catch-up on all these threads.
Also, did you see the sideboard on Valerie's set this afternoon, when she removed the chocolate pedestals and replaced them with the orangey gold pedestals that we own? Could you see the difference in the gold finials and pedestals?
SHOPR, I did see that sideboard shot. Do you have a TJ Maxx near you? I bought a set of silver pedestals there last year and they are really pretty, not lit, but half the cost of Valeries. If you need apothecary jars that's the place to look. Some times they're sold out but if you are there when they have them it's a steal price compared to the Q. My gdaughter got a large, fancy shaped one for $14 last week. I don't need any more finials but am always tempted by them, love the look.

They are out of town for me too, about 20 miles or so. I don't go but maybe once a month, sometimes twice. I always find something at TJ Maxx. We found lanterns for $19.99, nice large ones. Stores may have different merchandise too.
