It such a light green that it looks beige.  For me I want more color.

@Imaoldhippie   Yes.  I was a little disappointed this picture posted  more "beige" on here than the original picture I saw.  It was more light/bright yellow green to me.

When I saw green in the title, I thought it was going to be garish.  Not at all.  Very subdued and nice.  I like it.

Re: Green Kitchen's Making Comeback?

Lol...my mind immediately went to the "Avocado" that was the buzz word for decor in the 70's, that my mom loved and thought was so stylish. My parents even painted the outside of the house that light sage, with black shutters; it definitely was the "thing!"

And then how dated it looked a decade later (not the outside of the house, but any indoor kitchen stuff in avocado did.)

This pic is pretty. But I'd never do it...I love neutral soft, classic ivories and whites in paint. But for people that love to use color, and don't mind changing it up from time to time, I can see them doing this.

Good morning @jubilant

This photo is showing more as an ivory color on my screen.  As for the green, for me, it may be nice in the beginning but long-term?  I'm not so sure I'd care for it & also depends on the shade.

Thanks for posting this.

Re: Green Kitchen's Making Comeback?

If I had a vintage kitchen as shown I would definitely consider painting the cabinets that shade of green- it's an unexpected neutral.

I love the light green colors. So cheerful. My front door is the color edamame.

I think color in general is coming back into kitchens.

Re: Green Kitchen's Making Comeback?

Very pretty, @jubilant !   For me, green never left.  When we refreshed the kitchen a couple of years ago, we painted the walls a soft green (B. Moore's historic "Van Alen Green") and the cabinets a very pale, greige neutral (B. Moore's "Baby Fawn"--  it's virtually identical to their "Edgecomb Gray").

The kitchen seems so much lighter than it did before, and we've never tired of the fresh colors, especially in the dead of winter when it's all 'blah' outside!
