I have a blue patterned set that came from my husbands side of the family. It's never seen the light of day. It's in a cabinet. I use Corelle Ware on occasion but mostly paper plates.

Yes, I still use my good China sets. I still use my wedding China and also have Royal Albert China with all the accessories. I alternate between the two patterns. Every holiday, with dinner parties and at times with just my husband and I. We use the good crystal glassware too.

I do have a beautiful set of good china, fine china. It was my Grandmother-in-law's set. I do not know how often she and the family clan may have used it. Her everyday was a few pieces of Corelle which we no longer have.
The pattern is called 'Clementine', it is absolutely lovely, soft pink on the edges, little solf pink and yellow flowers, of course it have a gold rim on every piece. Yes we used it on special occasions as others use their's.
Because of the color, my parents bought us a set of Rose Fiestaware to go with, to mix it up a bit on our table for a big meal with others. We've never done this actually.
If I'm setting a beautiful table for friends and family, I'm getting out good stuff and we're eating in the spacious dining room we have!

I have the Lenox Solitare china. Every piece. Never used it. I like it just where it is in my china cabinet. Took until I was almost 50 to have a formal dining room and I enjoy it just like that. I have my Mom's china (she didn't use) but not as many pieces.

When we got married, I knew I was going to teach and didn't want to do dinners with dishes to hand wash; I also planned to decorate with primitives and nothing seemed to fit. I made Franciscan Apple my "good china". It looks great with the antiques!
It wasn't until decades later at the "Replacements" store I saw exactly what I wanted. It was their highest price (of course) antique china! DH wouldn't have liked it!

My mom went a little crazy and bought me a Wedgewood set for 20 because, you know, it was a good deal😂 it came with several serving pieces, and she bought a few things to go with it.
I keep four place settings in my cabinet and four Waterford wine, water, and champagne glasses. Those are my everyday dishes🤣 I will never use the 45 wine glasses, 30 champagne flutes, and 22 Water glasses. again they were a good deal. I live alone and so you eat off Wedgwood and drink your OJ in Waterford and they all go in the dishwasher. Because if one breaks or getts ruined I have plenty of backups😁
