Yesterday I had a new walk-in shower installed.  The walls are acrylic.  What have you found is a good cleaner for this type of material?  We have hard water (even though I do have a water softener, our area is full of limestone).  So, I not only want to "disinfect" but keep from having lime buildup.

we had a acrylic shower and surround for a age. For some reason the worse part to clean was the pan. I tried everything under the sun to get the ground in foot grime out.  nothing worked,  (not trying to be funny, but the facts are) after my husband passed, the problem went away. 

i never could figure it out, as dh had a desk job, and showered everyday. it's not like his feet were dirty.  lots of suggestions out there, even tried dishwasher powder, and soaking over night.  good luck

I used Turtle car wax on my new fiberglass shower walls (walls only) when we first moved into the house in 1981.   The water beaded up and rolled off the walls; I only had to clean the bottom.  

It worked great, but once second child was born, I fell behind on keeping the walls waxed, and used whatever spray cleaner would dissolve soap scum.

I have this type of shower in my master.  I use car wax on the walls.  The pan at the bottom is textured and difficult to keep clean.  It was always a nightmare for me and a job I dreaded.  Even after cleaning, it still looked dirty.

I purchased "Shock It  Clean" from Professor Amos on HSN and it worked wonderful. It removed stains, soap buildup and who knows what else and i didn't have to scrub.  I would 100% recommend this product for this purpose.  It didn't work very well on other things in the kitchen at all.  Works great on carpet stains though.

@wismiss  I highly recommend Wet & Forget Shower.  I got it at Lowes so I'm sure there's a pic of it.  Can't remember the cost, but less than $18 for a 64 oz. Spray jug.  Worth every penny.  Spray on shower walls after showering and walk away, no rinsing necessary.  They suggest use once a week and that works for us -- 2 showers every day for 2 of us.  Our shower is 10 years and looks almost new.  If you don't like it, forward to me.  Oh, it's mildly vanilla scented --no gagging.

I have this type of shower as well.  A couple of times a year I wax the walls with turtle wax. Water beads up and rolls right off.   I clean the bottom with Scrubbing Bubbles.  Once a week, I wipe the walls down with a solution of water, vinegar, and Dawn.  I put a couple of teaspoons of vinegar and one teaspoon of Dawn in a spray bottle and use a thick microfiber towel to wipe it off.  Works fine. I hate cleaning it but if you don't clean the walls at least once a week, you will have a hot mess of soap scum.

@coffee drinker.  I agree, the after shower product is the best.  I've used Clean Shower for years, never, ever clean the shower walls and my shower shines.

I had an acrylic walk in shower installed about 6 months ago, they told me to only use Ka BOOM, so far so good, shower is nice and clean, gets soap scum off. You spray it on purple, when it turns white, (in about 1 minute) you wipe it down and rinse. Pretty easy except for the fact that you have to kneel on the floor to wipe the bottom as it is pretty wide. They warned me not to use anything with bleach or clorox.

I have an acrylic shower and have tried so many products to get it clean. I also needed a cleaner without a scent. (have allergies) I finally tried "Wet & Forget". IT WORKS!!!  No scent and easy. I swear by this stuff for that shower.

@wismiss  The first product that came to mind was Soft Scrub but I would read the back panel.  Lysol spray cleaner may also do the trick.  Always read the label because it will tell you what surface not to use on.  Good luck.
