I don't care for gold hardware in the bathroom or kitchen.

Re: Goldtone Hardware in Guest Bath

I know gold tone hardware is back in a big way but I have never cared for it.

I also find the wallpaper in the OP to be an odd choice based on the tilework in the shower.  Maybe they were just trying to get the gold hardware to "work" in that bathroom by choosing that very yellow paper.

Goldtone fixtures were big in the 80s.  I remember visiting homes 10-15 years later and thinking how dated that gold looked.  Garish.  So no, I don't care at all for shiny gold hardware in the kitchen or bath.

Re: Goldtone Hardware in Guest Bath

I love this look, and I love gold. But for me this is too much gold, kind of "in your face" gold.

We have antique gold in our master bath and powder room. About 25 years ago we took out the cabinet that was in the powder room and put in an off white pedestal sink. Antique gold looked best with that. It reminds me of a nineteenth century hotel!
