I use a 12 cup drip coffee machine that also grinds to desired # and drips down into a coffee carafe. 

 

I also have a 40+ year old Panasonic Electric coffee perculator which I really love for using freshly ground coffee. It is an 8 cup perculator and still performs beautifully.

 

I enjoy  using both but for less than 12 cups I use th eelectric perculator, and for larger gatherings I ten to prefer to use the 12 cup with grinder cofee maker with glass carafe, which also accepts either whole coffee beans or ground coffee with a coffee filter in the drip cup.

Nothing makes and keeps coffee HOT like my old Farberware percolator.
