Re: Gifts from Santa -- Wrapped or Unwrapped?

My mom loves to tell anyone she can that I was two years old when I woke my parents up in the middle of the night to tell them that "Santa doesn't bring presents, mommies and daddies do." She thought I was going to be Sherlock Holmes because I'd sussed that all out on my own, but she also spent every Christmas thereafter filling stockings on Christmas Eve so that I thought Santa at least did that.

Everything was wrapped. I did not grow up to be a detective.

Nooooo, Santa's got no time for "wrapping!" He is busy supervising manufacture and delivery!

He's totally wrapped up in that job. And that's a wrap.

Re: Gifts from Santa -- Wrapped or Unwrapped?

My Santa gifts were always unwrapped. My girls Santa gifts have always been wrapped. A specific wrapping paper was used for each girls gifts, and that paper was kept hidden, and not used for any other gifts that year. After Christmas, I would slip that paper amongst all the other wrapping paper in the Rubbermaid box as if it were any other Christmas paper.

Unwrapped! We knew what pile of presents was ours because Santa put our filled stockng on our pile. Gifts from Mom and Dad were wrapped and opened on Christmas Eve after our seafood dinner. We went to Gramma and Grandpa's Christmas Day after church for dinner and gifts from them.

Unwrapped. When I remarried, my husband had never heard of that so we did a little of both, lol. Super big (bikes, etc) unwrapped, smaller stuff wrapped. Now that I think about it that didn't make a whole lot of sense but no one seemed to notice or care. We always opened one gift on Christmas Eve too. My husband was the worst about wanting everyone to open more and more gifts on Christmas Eve.

Wrapped but with totally different wrapping paper and bows and always in the very front of all the other presents. Still do the same thing today even though our daughter is grown!

All our gifts were wrapped unless it was a bicycle or a ping pong table.
