Not sure if this should be posted in HOME or ELECTRONICS but here goes. Losing power is "so much fun," NOT. Finally got it back and I started thinking. I found out whole home generators are about 15 grand in our area. Half a home is 10. Does anyone have a simple home generator that would not break the bank and give a few conveniences just in case this happens again. I am told we are going to have a rough winter. Just looking around and asking you all. Any experience, advice, etc. I want to have a safe unit and I also want one that is easy to use. We are total electric so I cannot hook it up to a gas line.
