Gel Pro Mat Users

Have you used a mat in a doorway (inside) as a door mat? I have three gel pro mats in my kitchen and love them. Have a back door area where my golden retrievers lay and there is a lot of in and out action going on. Wanted something cleanable and durable and was thinking of getting a gel pro for the area.
