Unless you are poking a hole in it, how are your trash bags leaking. I've never had a problem with them leaking.
@CelticCrafter I never said mine are leaking. I haven't ever used them for something that has liquid in it. But I don't trust mine to not leak. I buy all different brands.

IF it's oil or should not go in drain......leave in container - tape cap & throw the
container & oil in the trash................

Why dont you pour the liquid down the sink?
@Imaoldhippie Thanks for your Hefty suggestion. I have my reasons for not wanting to pour down the sink.
Ok if you are cutting up your husband, just double bag no matter the brand. 🤣 . @
Seriously though, i do what others have said and bag in grocery bags and then put in garbage bag. Ive had to do that when nauseated but couldnt walk to the bathroom when I broke my back. I had emmisisce (spelling?) bags i had to use, sealed those, put in grocery bag, knotted those, then put in my kitchen garbage. Yeah a lot of plastic not getting recycled but such is life.

@Pearlee, I use Glad Force Flex in the kitchen garbage can but I put a layer of newspaper on the bottom of the bag. I also spray well with Lysol.
No leaks and no smells.
I should note that when it comes to liquid I haven't had occasion to have more than about 1-2 cups of liquid in the bag and not for an extended length of time.
However, even if the bag sits in the outside garbage can for two or three days there hasn't been any leakage.

@Imaoldhippie You should never pour bacon grease or other fatty substances down the drain. Our sewer plants beg everyone to not put certain things down the drain. Also, we don't put fruit residue outside because we don't want to attract groundhogs, raccoons and deer. If we had chickens like my DD, that would be another story.

Bacon fat can be "degreased" by mixing it with liquid dish detergent.

This idea is really wasteful, but if I had a large amount of liquid that had to be placed in a plastic garbage bag, I would add a raftload of paper towels to absorb as much liquid as possible, then double-bag. Since all plastic garbage bags have seams, I would never trust any brand not to leak. Just an idea for you to consider.

IfI am disposing of liguid fats I mix in cheap oats or cereal and throw in out for the birds and critters. We are rural and feed them all the time. If you are in an area to throw it away I would do something similar to absorb the liquid. Our area has a toxic pick up twice a year otherwise.

The key is to just not put anything into the bag that can pop it. The only time something ever leaks from on of my garbage bags is because I was careless throwing in something with an edge or corner. If you want something less likely to puncture get the big lawn and leaf type bags that are sturdier.
