Re: GREENWICH VILLAGE APARTMENT

@Oznell  To me this apartment is very warm and cozy. Even the fireplace has lots of personality and stories to tell. I love the warmth of the brick and velvet. It's a very attractive and "liveable" space.

Re: GREENWICH VILLAGE APARTMENT

Interesting, @Somertime --  I didn't know that apartments don't have alarm systems in NYC.  I suppose it's too expensive-- the landlords would have to up the already sky-high rents?   I wonder if a well-heeled tenant would be allowed to put something in themselves.  It does seem like there might be some sort of 'barring' on the windows though...

Oh, velvet, not a problem for me either, @DSD2 !   My first couch was green velvet, but it was a hunter green.  Loved that couch....

Re: GREENWICH VILLAGE APARTMENT

The apartment is beautiful with the brick, hardwood floors and all those windows.  However, the decor style and colors just don't work for me.

Re: GREENWICH VILLAGE APARTMENT

Oznell, I have mentioned before how much I love the Village.  I spent much of my time there as a teen and adult.  My sister and I,as teens, always used to dream of having an apartment there and live in bliss!!!!  We had our favorite places to go and it stayed that way well into adulthood.

With that being said I love this apartment, all of it!!!!  Cloe is so funny and always makes me laugh and that is a gift!  The furniture, the decor, the space, all beautiful and so appealing . Seeing this apartment renewed my dream of living at the Village but alas, I still can't afford it but I am close enough to be there and am happy I spent so much time at a place that holds good memories.

Re: GREENWICH VILLAGE APARTMENT

@spiderw ---   I thought of you when posting it!  I've never been there but I'm sure I'd also go bonkers over the architecture, quaint streets, everything.   During the period that I lived in New Orleans,  I had what was probably a similar feeling about the French Quarter,  loved it.

Re: GREENWICH VILLAGE APARTMENT

I really like the rug, the hardwood floors, brick wall.  The decor...meh.  Looks like garage sale mish mash although I'm sure it is all quite expensive furniture.

Oznell, my sister and I have always wanted to visit the French Quarter at New Orleans.  We are sure it would be appealing and beautiful.  I am glad you had the experience of spending time there!!!!!

Re: GREENWICH VILLAGE APARTMENT

I like the exposed brick. Some of the furnishings I like; others not as much. Love the photo of her with her dog.

My sister and I were in New Orleans in 2019. First time there. Enjoyed visiting and touring the French Quarter, the famous cemeteries, St. Patrick's, etc.

Re: GREENWICH VILLAGE APARTMENT

@spiderw ,  and @wilma ,   oh, yes, New Orleans is so special and memorable.  I lived there for about 12 years.  Architecture, people, food, jazz in the Quarter--  just the best.  Riding the old streetcars down St. Charles Avenue--  I still do that in my dreams, ha.

Re: GREENWICH VILLAGE APARTMENT

Beautiful apartment. She. knows what she likes, has great taste, and has decorated her space with it. Very spacious for a NYC apartment, especially that kitchen. She was so fortunate to find this place.
