Ha, ha, sharp-eyed @Mz iMac, there had to be a story about that!   Went back and looked, and she said the cushions were out being repaired.   It seems she had some rambunctious family members...

Looking at that room again made me swoon over the walls and that beautiful moulding.  Turns out the walls are Benjamin Moore's historical paint, "Wythe Blue",  one of my favorite, hazy, greeny-blues.

Agreed, @ALRATIBA ,  the presence of books is a necessity for me too-- love them in every room...

To answer your question @Oznell ; there isn't much that is a deal breaker for me because I tend to not look at specifics (unless they jump out at me), and just take in the room as a whole.  Some things are quite easy to change (like moving that oddly positioned TV), others take a bit of planning or work.  If I like the overall well enough, I'd absolutely be willing to put in the work.

I like all of the spaces in the photos you posted.  I'd make changes, but they all have appealing elements.

Thanks for your response to my question, @faeriemoon --  I also seem to be very influenced by the overall "mood" and feeling of the room-- if they get that right, I can overlook individual elements that may not please as much....
