My grandma's house was built around 1920 and had a better kitchen than THAT...

I miss my Noni's cooking ( my other Grandmother wasn't a domestic diva). Food seemed to taste so much better back then... wonderful memories! My mother was also a good cook who worked hard in the kitchen. I took after my other Grandmother, lol!

@SaveTheTurtles   My grandmother too, always wore an apron

like that over her dresses, at home, even when

                             she wasn't cooking.

Mine too, now that you say that. She just always had one on!

My grandparents lived on a farm.  Halfway across the US, but we went every summer.   Seemed like she cooked ALL darn day.  Fed the farm hands a big meal around 11 am.  Loved her cooking and baking. ❤️. Miss her a lot.  The really good old days.

I think my Grandma had the same apron too.

BUT ....everyone said  she was the worst cook in the world!!

Of course, that might have been intentional.  She never had to host holiday dinners, so maybe she was 'smarter than the average bear'.

My beloved Nana didn't have kitchen counters. She had a kitchen table. She was a wonderful cook and baker. I never once her heard wish for a larger kitchen. The older I get the more I am grateful for having her in my life

The only dinner I remember my grandma making is duck.
