@DoneTryin wrote:Bad idea. I never have liked the idea of putting two appliances together like that. I once lived in a condo that had stacking washer & dryer that were attached to each other. The dryer died & could not be repaired, so had to replace both. Chances are, the washer would have soon died, too, but it would have been easier on the finances to buy the two units several months apart.
I wonder how many years old the stackable w&d in your condo were, and if now, then can repair one without replacing the other.
Such unscrupulous business tactics😤

I think it's kind of crazy. Also think the new one advertised that can see inside your fridge to see what food you need to buy is kind of nuts. Guess I'm old fashioned (and cheap).

All you gotta do is open the fridge door to see what ya got!
Thats not being old fashioned, or cheap...appliances are expensive, especially for a quality brand even w/o the bells and whistles.

If the Keurig doesn't last, how does one replace that element?
Sounds like a very iffy situation!

My take on this one.... buy simple, don't add another gadget to anything. Something to go wrong. Things are not made the way they used to. In my mothers kitchen everything lasted until she sold her house 40 some years later. Now things are caput after 5 years.
When we remodeled our kitchen I resisted the salespitch to take on the latest and greatest add ons. I have a fridge that has a simple ice maker inside, no outside ice. When the fridge has a problem which is about every year or so (so far) our local repair person tells stories that are even more horrific than mine.. things just don't last. He tells me to keep it simple.
All this advice is from me THE GADGET QUEEN.

It would bug me to have an appliance that heats up built into an appliance built primarily to keep things cold. Talk about being counter-energy efficient.

Wow, what a brilliant idea. There is water plumbed in, why not have a way to heat the water and pump through a K cup. The only risk is if they discontinue the cup module style--but I think K cups will be around forever. (In more ways than one--they are in land fills.)

Next? Could be to include a soda stream. Then your fridge is a cold beverage center as well as a cooler.
