That’s a big no for me.I like clean lines.This looks to cluttered for me. Put pictures on the wall & books in a bookcase!!

 Edited to say you can put a picture on a shelf but not over it as shown in the above examples.

Of all the things I whine about not liking, I have to say, that in the right size/spacing, I don't hate this! A few of the photos actually are pleasing and interesting to me!

Someone else mentioned the "dusting" aspect, and that was my first thought as well. Could be because I just finished cleaning up after Thanksgiving guests lol....

So depending on who would be responsible for dusting these bookshelves--that would greatly influence my answer.

There was a trend once where you turned the books spine to the wall.  There was also a trend where you covered all your books with the same dust cover.

Bookcases are like Oreos.  They are always inventing new ways to use them.

For me, they are dust collectors.  LOL
