I'm not crazy about the dark walls in the last photo, but the use of space in all of the rooms is wonderful. And all those huge windows - what a view they must have. The floor in the first photo looks like an optical illusion to me ... looks like an uneven floor! I'm sure it's just the photo.

Beautiful spaces, all of them!

 

My brother lives in a converted space, not as dramatic, but with the same high ceilings and grand windows. In order to change the furnace filter one has to scale a tall ladder and actually remove a wall plate and then crawl partway into a small wall opening. It’s also impossible to replace smoke alarm batteries or clean the ceilings and windows without using special equipment. The loft has a maintenance crew and they do some of these services as part of the HOA dues and others for a modest fee.
