Way too formal & ornate for me. None of the furniture or accessories appeal to me. I really dislike the floor.

More formal than I usually go for, but it's beautifully conceived for the right person.  So pretty and feminine!

@stevieb   Very stately.  Love the subdued colors and how the chair throw pillow picks up the floor pattern as does the leg cutout in the coffee table as do the square carved accents in the fireplace.

My eye also enjoys that everything is not overly "matchy" or slavishly symmetrical at least from this photo's vantage point.

@aroc3435  Agree. I think this is a well conceived and very nicely appointed room. It wouldn't work in the space I occupy, but I find it very appealing. Of course, as with almost any room we might see posted, there are things I'd opt to change.

Not my thing at all.

As an aside, when I was a kid we called the living room "the parlor."  Anyone else?  I don't think anyone says that anymore unless it is a home with a true "parlor."

I do like the softness that balances the formality somewhat.  Yes, I'd change a few things, sure. I don't think any of the rooms we see anywhere are static. They're just captured at one moment in time.

Like it all, except for the rug and the one pink and white chair ( or are there two pink and white chairs? )

This is elegant and classy. I love the colors, patterns on floor, the choice of paintings, everything looks so perfect.

I like most of it. It doesn’t scream formal to me. I get a shabby chic vibe mix with formal. I would lose the rug. The slip covered chair brings the formal look down along with the curtains having a light and airy look to them. But then the pictures and green chair along with the lighting puts formal back into the room. I could be comfortable chatting with a friend or reading a good book here

I like the furniture a lot especially the French inspired mossy green chair. The artwork and rug are too much for me.

The room is very creative and obviously decorated for someone who knows and likes their own style. I always applaud that fact.

I love this room.  While I don't live this way.....I could!!  I can't think of any other word but exquisite.
