When I get to HOARDER status (are we there yet???) I will get rid of everything except: My Barbara Bixby, my fave shabby painted & antique furniture, my collectable china, JS witches & Santas, mercury glass, PUMPKINS (of every sort), any and all GB, my flameless, my vintage pillows, my furbabies, and of course, my DH LOL.

Everything else can go. Pots & pans first please!

That's the best post yet!!! LOL

And Happy Bday to your daughter!!!!!

Thank you! My husband knows how I am about christmas decor, I already told him I was going in, I had planned it in advance and brought cash specifically for that but honestly there was just so.much.stuff. Every inch of that store was covered, it was awesome but a little overwhelming. I didn't want to buy something just to buy it so I ended up leaving with nothing, lol.

I hope your daughter had a happy and fun birthday.

I would probably have had sensory overload after a few minutes in the store, and also left empty-handed. Places like that are a delight for me at first, but after that initial excitement, I can't focus!

I do wish Jim wouldn't do the Disney pieces, they seem so beneath him.

Mia's.....I love that store, I always find something in there, in fact, it's where I purchased my first Jim Shore piece. I never leave empty handed. My in-laws rent a shore house for a week for the family every year, I'm not a beach person so I only spend a few days there and my hubby makes a point of taking me here so I can enjoy myself. (plus, they crank the A/C in there and it feels soooooo good when you are not a person who loves hot weather {#emotions_dlg.laugh})

{#emotions_dlg.wub}I love that store. It's like being in wonderland

Are you from the area? They have so much stuff, right??

I'm in northern NJ, near the George Washington Bridge. About 1hr or so away depending on traffic.

I have to go there everytime I'm in south Jersey

Hi,

Can you please tell me what the name of the Christmas store is? Many years ago, about eleven, I shopped in one on the boardwalk in Ocean City NJ and purchased a Dept. 56 item and Wizard of Oz ornaments. About to travel soon near that area and I would like to go in to see what they have.

Thanks,

Linda S.

Thanks for posting the pictures. One could sit and look at the pictures for hours, each time discovering something new. His work is beautiful.

Yep, that's the one! It's on the boardwalk right at the opening on 11th street. It's called Mia's Christmas Gallery. Make sure you get some salt water taffy at Laura's Fudge Shop while you're down there!

WOW!!!! STUPENDOUS!!!! Thanks for sharing....I do collect Jim Shore and if I went to that store I'd be in big trouble and would need a truck to haul my purchases....
