Hello Sweet Friend,

I was just thinking about you last night as they've been talking for several days about another big ice storm headed down your way. Hope you and Pop are doing ok and hope you can stay inside until all of that ice clears up if it reaches down to where you are. Stay safe my friend.

Good Evening to you Dear Bobby K,

Hope that you are feeling spiffy today! We kept our dear granddaughter today, so Pop and I are semi comatose.{#emotions_dlg.biggrin} It's late and I have a Dr.'s appt. tomorrow, but I have to wind down just a little before going to bed. Of course, it will depend on the weather as to if I will go or not. I've got to have an EKG and probably should not put it off. We had a good time with grandaughter and I enjoy being her playmate. Getting up and down off the floor has been a bit of a challenge and I have to crawl a bit before I can finally get up, but it's worth every minute and every creak and moan.

When I put her down for her nap, I always lay down with her and tell her a story (you know how I love to tell storiesSmile) and she usually goes right off to sleep. Today, I had eased out of bed and was in the kitchen making her supper. All of a sudden I hear this little voice "Gandma, I just can't sleep without you". Well, of course I called Pop in right away to take up where I left off with supper and went back to the bedroom with my little angel. She was actually ready to get up as she had taken a good nap, but she just wanted to snuggle. Of course, I love having that little body snuggled up to me, so I didn't mind at all. I think Pop is just a tad jealous, but she goes through phases ... I'm the favorite for a while, then Pop.

Our weather here in Georgia is just unbelievable. We haven't had weather like this in years -- many, many years. People just an hour north of us are having ice storms and trees splitting, no electricity. It's terrible. We are holding our breathes because most of the power company trucks around here have left to help up north - Tennessee and Pennsylvania. We have had cold, cold rain all day. Gloomy, cold, wet weather. Sleet, ice, but not horrible. Bad enough for schools to start late tomorrow, but not as bad as other parts of Georgia. I think Savannah is tucked into a little cove and stays fairly protected from the worst weather. They say that Savannah is due "the big one" meaning hurricane and they are probably right. A really bad hurricane and Savannah would be under water. We are below sea level anyhow and if it traveled down the Savannah River, Pop and I would be swimming for our lives. We are only about 3 miles from the river.

Anyway, thank you for being concerned for us. We have an all electric home and no back up plan for heat so I guess we would have to leave and find somewhere with heat. Pop is no longer the best driver in the world, so I would be praying that there was no ice. Neither of us do well with cold (age, medications, etc..) so the usual old age problems crop up if we get cold.{#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

Bless you for thinking of us dear. You are a precious friend.

Tried it again, but not sure it worked. I wish I knew what I was doing. Some things will show up from sites like the Cracker Barrel and others won't. Oh well.
