Re: Flooring need help- please.

Thanks to everyone for great information. We have had multiple delays. DH has been sick plus now has neck surgery scheduled next month, trying to set up kitchen. I love the silestone  counter tops in the tea leaf color. Mosaic tiles were installed for the back splash and looks great: at first thought it was "too busy", cannot come up with a better word.I almost got physically sick- contractor had said he would bring samples of tiles in beige and brown  solid tones like subway tiles. Tiles were purchased by contractor and has all the colors that blend with the counter tops. The cherry cabinets are wonderful. Flooring to be installed later this week and very nervous on how everything will look. My friend that will do the flooring really recommend the Pergo XP because it is textured and I chose the hickory. Because of bad feet and legs will use vinyl in the kitchen and storage area that was the old laundry room. The vinyl looks like brick tiles. I will try to post photos later this week.   In the den area, when the electrician was installing wiring for the new garage and garage door, his young helper was up in the attic and almost fell through the ceiling. Thank God he was not hurt but he was more concerned about what his coworkers would say. We had a 3 foot wide hole that had to be repaired. I really appreciate everyone's help. Then will need furniture for the new room. I am excited but feeling very stressed and overwhelmed. The home improvements started 11/10/16. Southern Bee.

Is wood planking an option?  It's clean, beautiful and looks great.  Also resells better.  You might want to look at Grandinroad's site.  Their area rugs are beautiful and help absorb noise a little better.
