We have I think laminate that looks like wood throughout the house, I use an electric scrubber mop I just spray bono before I scrub the spot, the mop heads can go in the wash.

I only use half vinegar half hot water in a spray bottle and mist my floor and use a large push mop with changeable terry cloth cover. I used to use the swiffer for laminate floors that had the sprayer attached but i felt the residue attracted more dirt.
Vinegar and water is inexpensive, affective, and versatile around the house,
If i were to use a floor cleaning solution it would be Bono but i dont bother to.

I have had no problems doing a quick steam occasionally and running my dry Swiffer over the floor daily.

i really like the Swiffer wet mop cloths...I can't believe how wonderfully clean and shiny they get my wood plank flooring. I started using these about two months ago and that's all i use now.

I have waterproof LVP thru my house, including bathrooms and was told by the vendor & contractor never use steam mop -- the residual water collects in the seams and will warp.
Once a week I take my good old Don Aslett microfiber pad with a hint of water and mop them.
Theyre hardly dirty just dusty! I have porcelain ceramic tile in kitchen I spray floor lightly with vinegar & then steam clean. They come out perfect🙂

@faeriemoon I thought I was the only one that didn't care for a steamer.
I was mortified to see how dirty the floor really was when I went back to washing it the old fashioned way.

@CelticCrafter Totally agree. I guess "sanitizing" and "cleaning" are two different things. Not to mention the steamers don't get into corners or under things very easily. I found that the steamer pushed dirt into the corners and against the woodwork. Not a fan.
Adding: I think if one feels the need to sanitize, it's best to wash the floor with a mop first.
