I never had a shrinkage problem with my LL Bean flannel sheets. And no I do not like the polar fleece sheets better than flannel. I have a set of QVC polar fleece. They tend to make me sweat even in the winter when I have the thermostat low.  And I'm not post menopausal or otherwise prone to sweating when sleeping.

Thanks. I think I should pass since I sleep hot if I don't leave the AC turned way down. I like 100% egyptian cotton sheets for summer. I know I could not sleep on flannel or polar fleece sheets all year round like some do.

If you sleep hot then that is probably the right decision.

I guess I will be looking for flannel sheets some place other then . QVC  I am in shock that QVC has just about booted northern nights out the door. I have only bought  that brand since they started on the Q. Always loved them never had any issues with them. Went to purchase new sets and not one set do they have in flannel. Wondering what happened between northern nights and the Q. I don't even know were to even begin to look for other brands. I only have northern night products on all our beds.

Nightowlz, I've been through so many brands of flannel sheets, it's not funny. The worst< i have found, are the microfiber; they pill horribly and you sweat (it's 100% poly aka plastic so....yeah). All cotton flannel is not created equal...the thin flannel sets (the majority on the market) wear out quickly not only from washing, but from the friction of the body. price is not a way to tell thickness, sadly. Some very expensive sets were just as bed as a set I purchased from Walmart.

LL Bean sets are excellent; at least they were. When I lived in Northern Maine, these were the ones I found that delivered and after returning to the DC area, continued to purchase them. Sadly, some have not been as great as other and shrinkage has been a problem; perhaps due to bad batches, I'm not sure. I used to give them as gifts but stopped due to negative feedback but last year bought a new set for my son's room and they are still thick, plushy and no shrinkage.

Hope that helps a bit. Good luck; fantastic flannel sheets are a wonderful thing for cold nights!!!!

I bought two sets of flannel sheets from Kohl's 2 years ago.  They weren't expensive at all, they fit the deeper mattresses, they wash beautifully. Very happy with them.

Redconvertible girl, my sister also bought flannel sheets from Kohl's and she raved about them and she is very particular about her sheets I am just surprised there are no queen size flannel on QVC. Thanks for your suggestion.

I don't have sheets from either place, but Land's End has a fabulous return policy. They will take anything back at any time for any reason. If the product fails, even  after years of use, they will replace or refund. Not much to lose by trying them, and no short window to decide. You can return at your local Sears store as well.

I think LL Bean has the same return policy, so maybe try a set from each place.

Thanks. I ordered a set from LLB since they offered 10% off if I purchased before leaving their site last night. They closed our Sears in the Mall & opened a Sears Hometown Store several months later. Not sure what the difference in the 2 stores is. Have not been there since it opened. We sure need it because while they were closed the only place in town you could buy appliances is Lowe's.

If it gets much cooler here, I'm going to put our flannel sheets on. We love them in the cold months here.

That's why I wanted to get a new set ordered. I wore a hole through the fitted sheet where my feet are on the flannel set we have been using forever. I wanted some nice sheets with no pilling. I will probably have them on the bed within the next month. Not cold enough yet for me. We are still using the AC.

Thanks. I ordered 6 oz SuPima set from LLB. Hope they are nice. I just want some soft comfy warm flannel sheets with no piling. Is that too much to ask? If they pill I will return them. I bought a set of cotton sheets earlier this summer. They are just ok. They are going in the trash. LOL!!! I have to find another set of soft comfy egyptian cottom sheets.

You can buy 3 or 4 sets of polarfleece sheets for the price of flannels. I only have one set of flannels left, they pill badly and I haven't used them since I started buying QVC's fleece. But they did not shrink, think they were from LLBean.
