I have a lamp that needs to be fixed. The little knob that turns it on and off broke off. Where would I take a lamp to get it repaired? Knowing who to call or where to go to get things fixed is not my strong point. I also need a screen replaced. Who does that?

You can buy lamp knobs on Amazon....so you could fix that yourself. I'm sure that window companies could help, you with a screen, but they'd probably charge a lot. If you live near an Ace Hardware, I'd ask them for help or recommendations on who to go to.

I get screens made at my Tru Value Hardware Store. They might be able to help with the lamp too. Their staff is wonderful with do it yourself advice.

I took a lamp to a local electrican service shop a long time ago to get it made into a 3-way. It was less than $15 but that was ages ago.
But a local shop that does electrical work and sells a few light fixtures and parts might be a great way to solve the problem! Call ahead and ask!

I used Grand Brass Lamp Parts. I have Waterford lamps in my bedroom and it's who Waterford recommended for a replacement in line switch. Perfect match. Did it myself for under $25.
I called a lamp shop near DS. They wanted $200. 😳
Call your local hardware store before you go and ask if they do rescreening and give them measurements.

Hopefully you have an Ace Hardware nearby. Ace is the place for the helpful hardware folks ☺️

I would definitely contact hardware stores. We have had a couple different table lamps repaired that way. They have people that do those types of things for them. You just call the hardware store up and make arrangements and then drop the lamp off and they will tell you when you can pick it up. I can't remember the price, but I know it was very inexpensive.

Agree on hardware stores for lamps. They may also be able to help with screens, if not, a store like Home Depot?
