I think that while Fitz and Floyd makes some pretty and intricate pieces, they are over priced for the quality.

I've seen many of them flake paint after a few years.

I saw some at TJ Maxx this past Christmas.

Henri Toulouse-Lautrec was a famous French artist.  Info about him and his work  is readily available on the internet.  Maybe this collection of tableware is inspired by his work?

I bought some gorgeous  Fitz and Floyd plates and large coffee mugs about a year ago at HomeGoods.  Supposedly microwave safe.

All mugs in my house have to be microwave safe so I can warm up coffee when it gets cool.  These mug handles get so hot after 30 seconds in the microwave that I can't handle them until the coffee gets cool again!!

When ceramic gets hotter than the contents, it is not microwave safe.

On top of that, I never break dishes.  I happened to just knock one of those mugs against the counter and it broke into pieces.

Makes me wonder about the quality of that entire brand.

I collected Fitz and Floyd for many years and I never had a problem. They are pricey but the cream-of-the-crop in decorative pieces, in my opinion.

The pair of parrots below are my favorite pieces.
