First Update on my summer project

The wallpaper is off one wall!  The Wagoner Steamer is wonderful - took me about 45 minutes on one wall.  First picture is how it looked yesterday with all I could peel off, second picture is what I did this morning - clean wall - have some patching to do after it is all done.  Third picture is all the steamer got off this morning.  I lightly scored the wall before steaming.  My fingers are sticky from all the glue - cleaning this mess up then starting on next wall - I'll keep you updated - seeing progress!

@hoosieroriginal  I went through this a few years ago, taking off bamboo cloth wallpaper.  Thank goodness for steamers.

You did a wonderful job!  I've been through this a few times, and even though wallpaper can be beautiful, it's only painted walls for me from now on.

Re: First Update on my summer project

They have some nice wallpaper but I don't want any in my house. It's a pain to remove & repair the wall so you can paint. Been there done that. Now we can just paint when we want a change. We used the Zinsser Wallpaper Tiger to score the walls & sprayed it with the Diff wallpeper stripper. The wallpaper was easily removed.

That's a lot of hard work but you will enjoy the end results.

@hoosieroriginal, that is one tough job and a job I hate with a passion.  I would rather weed ten gardens that do that.  Way to go!!!  Show us some photos when you have it finished.  I am sure the result will be amazing.  LM
