Fireplace tools

Those of you that have a wood burning fireplace, do you keep the tools for it OUT and by the fireplace? We only use maybe 2 of the tools and there are 5 in the set that was here when we moved in. Sometimes I am lazy and just like to buy one of those paper wrapped logs as they burn so well and do not need to be 'played with' while they are burning. I clean out the ashes with the little shovel, but I know that could easily be another place.
