My friend's grandson just moved into his 1st apartment.

The apartment is lovely but, I couldn't believe the tub!

Apparently, the landlord deemed it unnecessary to CLEAN!

Can we use a Brillo pad on a porcelain tub?

Any suggestions are appreciated ...

You might need a cleaner with bleach in it to whiten it. Good luck.

Try the BioCleaner if you have that.

I've used bleach to get rid of mold, but not dirt and tub scum..

I am thinking to fill the tub with hot water and Borax, let it soak, drain, then Magic Eraser.

I would fill the tub with hot water and some bleach.  Let it sit 10-15 minutes, drain.  Use no  splash bleach (gel, usually in the laundry section at stores) and a scrub brush.

I googled "Biocleaner" and here's what I saw on AMZN.

"

Bio Clean: Eco Friendly Hard Water Stain Remover (40oz Large)- Our Professional Cleaner Removes Tuff Water Stains From Shower doors,"

I didn't know "hard water could stain porcelain!

My sister worked for the Housing Authority cleaning out apartments when people moved out. They used oven cleaner because the tubs where so bad. It worked.

I'd  be darn if I'd clean someone else's  filth.  I'd call the landlord and tell him he overlooked the bathroom and I'd like to have it cleaned.
