Looks very stodgy.  The fire is nice though.

Beautiful colors. Don’t like the two arm chairs. Otherwise very nice room.

That style of furniture doesn't "go" with the ceiling.

I love this. As an earlier poster stated, it’s amazing how differently people can view things; that’s what makes the world so interesting. It would be boring if we all liked exactly the same things. Anyway - I could very easily see myself living with that room.

Way too formal for me.Looks like a gaudy museum.

Re: Feeling the Warmth in this Living Room...

If someone had described the ceiling before I saw it for myself, I would have loved it   But seeing it now, not so sure I like it.

The room needs a bit of color.

It may look cluttered because we are looking at it in a 2 dimensional picture.

What's cluttered about 2 sofas, 2 chairs, end tables & lamps?

There's plenty of room to walk around.

I might eliminate the chair in front of the fireplace.

A gorgeous, layered classic.  Resonates with history.  Is that a California Spanish house, I wonder?

It reminds me of some of the Spanish houses in L.A. that the film colony fell in love with, and many of the early movie actors lived in....

I love the ceiling, fireplace, and chest...the rest of the decor is not something I could live with and there is way too much of it in that room.

I love this room, except I would have put some color in it w/different color chairs and drapes to match the chairs.
