Claire Burke - Original......the loveliest scent.  I've been using it since it first came out in the late 1970's.  The scent was originally developed by Shelly Marks, a perfumer with a lovely little shop on Madison Avenue and corner of 60 Street.  My husband used his cologne, Mr. Marks' signature scent. and it was my all time favorite.  Mr. Marks was very elderly and decided to retire and sold the formula to Claire Burke that they used as candles, potpourri, room spray, etc.

@kathie66   As winter vanilla mint is my absolute favorite wen scent, I'm sure the candle is lovely!  My second favorite was coconut lime verbena.

I've really bought less and less candles.  Some really stuff me up, but many perfumes do not.

I'm not a candle person but I do buy Bath and Body Works  Fresh Balsam for the holidays.  I love that smell and wish I could find another fragrance that I liked as much. A nice summer fragrance would be nice.

Re: Favorite candle

[ Edited ]

I always prefer Yankee Original Classic large jar candles. They have a long burn time, burn evenly, and have never had problems with soot or smoke. I prefer a one-wick candle. My favorite Yankees are Home Sweet Home, MacIntosh, and Pumpkin Spice. The ones that are "housewarmer" scents are the strongest scents. The Yankee candles you find at Homegoods, Marshalls, etc. are lower pricepoint ones made for off-price retail stores; not even close to being as good as those at the Yankee stores or Yankee website or authorized Yankee dealers. I figured this out after wasting money on some I found at Homegoods.

I also like the scents of Homeworx but find them too short in burn time with multiple wicks. All-time favorite candle ever is Plantation scent by Botanique. It was sold at Steinmart and when they closed, have not found them anywhere else.

I strictly use flameless candles now. All the scented candles are just too strong for me anymore. I miss them but not the headaches they seem to give me.

I'll be following because I too am looking for a favorite candle brand especially a pumpkin spice (or similar pumpkin scent).

🎃  Pumpkin Pecan Waffles by Goose Creek

🍎  Macintosh Apple is also a great fall scent

Thank you for replying @ManyMeows .  Pumpkin Pecan Waffles sounds really yummy.  Thank you!

Hands down....Homeworx by Harry Slatkin for me.

@Regal Bee May I ask what your favorite scent of his is?

@itsmetoo  I love all his candles but my all time favorite is:  Spiced Gingersnap. I have burned several of these candles to the very bottom. Love them.

Thank you @Regal Bee .  I'm going to have to try some of his.  I struggle finding a candle that's not so strong that it gives us headaches or so weak you can't smell them.  Thanks for responding.

@itsmetoo  Another fall scent that I highly recommend is Maple Butter, it's triple yummy.

@bikerbabe  Do you find that Antique Candle Co's candles fill your room with scent?  I have several and they have wonderful scents but I can never small them unless I'm right on top of them or they don't smell at all when lit.
